With the aid of extensive wind-tunnel testing at the NEWTON laboratory of Milan, the Manta (MIPS) Road Helmet has a lower tube-shaped profile at the rear to make it more streamlined than ever. And yet, for an aero helmet, it's remarkably well ventilated too. NACA inlet vents and carefully positioned exhaust vents work in synergy to create smooth, constant airflow through the helmet while also minimising drag. Once inside, airflow rushes along internal air channels to give a boost to your comfort and dispel sweat vapour. MIPS-C2® Protection The Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) is a proven system that reduces the rotational forces on the brain when you're involved in a crash. The Manta with MIPS technology is able to slide relative to the head in the case of a crash and as a result, the forces are absorbed and redirected to prevent them from being transmitted to the brain.  In the event of a fall, the MIPS equipped helmet provides up to a 10% improvement in protection from certain impacts. This system sits unobtrusively between the Air Mesh comfort padding and EPS core, boosting protection without effecting comfort or adding unwieldy bulk.  The Perfect Fit A safe helmet is one you can get to fit well and fit securely. And in this case, the Manta lets you get the right fit via the Safe-T Orbital Fit System. This features a 360-degree head belt with both vertical and Occipital adjustment. This allows for precise adjustment of the fit for both comfort and stability and removes any pressure points.  Air-Mesh comfort pads also enhance comfort and they're quick to deal with sweat when the heat is rising and the pace is speeding up. A Fidlock® magnetic buckle makes securing your Manta quick and easy too.
