Ale uses a mix of performance fabrics in order to give perfect muscle support and compression alongside excellent flexibility for fluid pedalling. Premium Performance Materials Zaffiro and Matrix fabrics, both Lycra® Power materials, gently squeeze your hard-working muscles, encouraging blood flow and flushing out lactic acid, providing fatigue-busting support over long rides. Matrix, in particular, offers excellent abrasion resistance and is deployed in the areas of the short in contact with the saddle, boosting durability. Elsewhere, Ale uses their Mesh Dragon material. This micro-mesh is supremely soft and allows for optimal breathability. An Open Bib design also exposes more skin to the back of the shorts, allowing for greater sweat evaporation. When you’re pushing hard on the peals this will ensure you’re not left drenched in sweat. Anti-Slip Technology In areas of saddle contact, a 3D calendaring process gives the material a different level of controlled friction. This allows you to maintain an efficient position on the saddle when pedalling. This boosts comfort, with less slipping, even when your saddle is damp. Women’s 8HF Seat Pad Inside, the Women’s “W8HF” pad utilises an elastic microfibre with memory padding, strategically positioned at the saddle contact points for maximum comfort. In the perineal and ischiatic area, higher density 120kg/m³ padding ensures the very best support on the saddle and vibration-damped comfort across even the roughest of roads. Meanwhile, a central relief channel protects sensitive nerve endings while lateral-shaped flexible wings follow the body for complete freedom of movement and comfort when pedalling.
