Lightweight and with a slim profile, the Omne Ultra MIPS Helmet still packs in all the protective technology you need for a great ride into the backcountry.  POC combine a tough polycarbonate shell and a shock-absorbing EPS inner. The rugged PC shell shrugs off the minor knock and bumps of gravel riding - typically a close shave with bushes and branches that can line off-road routes. It also adds structural integrity during a more serious impact.  Meanwhile, the EPS liner is engineered to absorb and dissipate impact forces should you crash and hit your head. Extended protection around the temples and back of the head increases all-around protection, wherever you choose to ride. As someone who will be adventuring by bike in more remote areas, a RECCO® Reflector lets emergency services scan for you should you become lost on a backcountry biking adventure. MIPS Integra Head Protection Solution The Omne Ultra features the MIPS Integra system. This brings together POC's 'whole-helmet' safety and design ethos with the fully integrated brain-protecting technology of MIPS. This holistic approach sees every detail of the helmet engineered to work in harmony with each other, giving you new levels of seamless safety, comfort, ventilation, fit and function. MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head.
